Meeting with the Head of the MSMEDA

EBA—chaired by Chairman Eng. Ali Eissa and the SME's Committee, chaired by Eng. Hassan El-Shafei—held a meeting with Mr. Mostafa Ismail Hassan, CEO of the MSMEDA. The meeting was attended by Eng. Magd El-Din El-Manzalawy, Secretary-General and Head of the Industry and Scientific Research Committee; Dr. Mohannad Taha Khaled, Treasurer; and several heads and deputy heads of the EBAs specialized committees, including:
- Mr. Maged Ezz El-Din – Head of the Finance Committee
- Dr. Mohamed Helal – Head of the Human Resources and Technical Training Committee
- Dr. Dalia El-Sawah – Deputy Head of the SME's Committee
- MP Dr. Ahmed El-Shennawy – Deputy Head of the Sustainable Development Committee
- Dr. Omnia Fahmy – Deputy Head of the Environment Committee
Also in attendance were Mr. Mohamed Medhat, Deputy CEO of MSMEDA; and a group of EBA's members representing various economic sectors;
The meeting was convened to review:
* Ways to support the private sector in complying with environmental regulations and international standards.
* The joint cooperation protocol between MSMEDA and the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) aimed at encouraging feeder industries and supply chains, as well as examining coordination mechanisms with business organizations to create new investment opportunities for these industries. * Examining ways to transition from the informal to the formal sector through a range of incentives and facilitative measures, and the impact of this on the macroeconomy.
