The Information Technology Committee of the EBA, chaired by Mr. Hassanin Tawfik, held a meeting with Dr. Hatem Zaghloul, the Egyptian-Canadian scientist and entrepreneur in the field of communications technology and digital inclusion. The meeting, which took place via Microsoft Teams, was attended by a group of active members of the Association and those involved in the information technology sector. with the aim of discuss potential avenues for collaboration between the Committee and Dr. Zaghloul, and to leverage the accumulated expertise of both parties for the benefit of EBA's members.

The EBA headed by Eng. Ali Issa, held an online meeting organized by the Industry and Scientific Research Committee headed by Eng. Magd El-Din Al-Manzalawi – Secretary General and Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of Dr. Walid Gamal El-Din – Chairman of the Export Committee, Dr. Mohamed Helmy Helal – Chairman of the Human Resources and Technical Training Committee, and with the participation of Mr. Ahmed Mounir Ezz El-Din – Vice Chairman of the Industry and Scientific Research Committee and a group of members of the Association and its executive management, with the aim of: Discussing proposals to reactivate and amend the industrial and agricultural financing initiative, including reducing the lending rate to between (8%-10%) in light of the changes in the corridor price, and increasing the maximum financing limit to reach EGP 150 million per company.

Magd El-Din El-Manzlawy, Secretary General and Chairman of the Industry and Scientific Research Committee, and several heads of specialized committees, with a number of active and concerned EBA's members with the aim of Exchanging and reviewing perspectives to prepare a memorandum to the Governor of the Central Bank requesting the postponement of loan repayments for exporting companies without affecting the creditworthiness of clients, given the impact of current geopolitical events on the Egyptian economy.

The EBA held a seminar organized by the Information Technology Committee of the Association under the chairmanship of Mr. Hassanein Tawfik, Chairman of the Committee, the seminar was held with Dr. Mohamed Hegazy - Consultant of Digital Legislation and Intellectual Property and former Chairman of the Legislation and Laws Committee at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the participation and presence of a group of committee members and members of the Association working in the information technology sector and all different economic sectors and representatives of its executive management. The seminar was held under the title: "The Impact of the Issuance of the Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulations on the Business Sector in Egypt" and opened the door for questions and discussions on this important topic.

The Economic Legislation Committee, chaired by Counselor Bahgat Al-Hussami, held a meeting to follow up on previous discussions and coordinate with other specialized committees to achieve shared objectives in the coming phase.
