EBA was founded in 1975 and ratified in 1979 under the law 32/1964. EBA is a non-governmental, non-for-profit organization that seeks to unify the efforts of private Egyptian interests in contributing to the productivity and efficient national economic and social development of Egypt. In order to carry out these duties, EBA had to be in the first place a lobbying power on behalf of the Egyptian business community to protect its interests and enhance the private sector existence

Presently, the Egyptian economy does not act under planned forces but rather under the free market forces. With all these privatization programs and the growing private sector share in the GDP together with the globalization process.

Joint Meeting of Industry and Scientific Research - Import and Customs – Export Committees


EBA held a joint meeting of the Industry and Scientific Research Committee headed by Eng. Magd El-Din Al-Manzalawi - Secretary General and Chairman of the Committee, the Import and Customs Committee headed by Eng. Khaled Hamza, and the Export Committee headed by Eng. Fadel Marzouk, with Dr. Youmna El-Shabrawy - Head of the Trade Remedies Sector - Ministry of Trade and Industry under the title: - Trade remedies as a tool to protect the national industry and promote Egyptian exports, in the presence and participation of a number of vice chairmen of the committees And a group of EBA’s members working and concerned with these important sectors, where the meeting was held with the aim of discuss on: How to use trade processing fees to protect the local industry in Egypt from the negative repercussions of harmful trade practices in international trade

6th Strategy for Transition to Green Economy


EBA attended the Sixth Strategy for Transition to Green Economy, which helded at the Triumph Luxury Hotel in New Cairo, through the Sustainable Development Committee of EBA, headed by Dr. Nevine Abdel Khaleq, member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Committee, and in the presence of a group of EBA’s members and representatives of its executive management, in the presence of Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Dr. Mustafa Zamzam, Chairman of the Fourm Mr. Mustafa Ezz Al-Arab - Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports for Cultural and Social Development, Dr. Hassan Mustafa, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity, and Ms. Asma Sami, Director of the Forum with the aim of opening the door for The serious steps of the Egyptian government to achieve sustainable development in all sectors and how to raise awareness among the Egyptian people of how and the importance of green Transition

Egypt - EU Investment Conference


EBA has participated in the investment conference entitled "Egypt and the European Union", which was held under the auspices of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the President of the European Commission, Mrs. Ursula von der Leyen, this conference was of great importance to all Egypt’s institutions, and sought to introduce the various investment opportunities available in the Egyptian economy, and to promote and support aspects of economic cooperation between Egypt and the European Union. There are three types of membership: corporate, original and associate. The membership list consists of carefully chosen number of prominent businessmen in Egypt who occupy leading and decision making positions in the business community. The membership covers a wide range of economic activities.

Original Member

Is the member who applied for membership and fulfilled all the conditions and is accepted by EBA board. The original member has the right to attend the General assembly meeting and to nominate himself to be a member in EBA’s board.

The associate member is associated to an original member, he enjoys all the benefits and rights given to the Original member except for the right of attending the General Assembly Meeting and to nominate himself to be a board member.
